US LLC / Personal plans and practical support
Put a US LLC to work for your business
You want a company you can use to contract with customers, receive payments and run your business from abroad. EXOBASIS helps you decide whether a US LLC does that job, then organise the formation, records and ongoing work around it.
Choose a personal expert plan for a clear recommendation and a usable route forward. If your decision is already made, you can commission formation, a provider transfer or a specific task directly.

Choose the help that moves your business forward
A personal expert plan turns conflicting videos, generic AI answers and formation offers into a decision for your business. You receive a written dossier explaining what fits, what does not, why, and how to proceed. Personal plans start from €193; the selected scope determines your total.
Choose written expert answers for particular questions. Questions bound to a specific plan use the plan-question rate; standalone expert questions for new matters are booked after the intake, with context gathering and formulation guidance included. For a decision you want to work through in conversation, choose a prepared 60-minute consultation. A plan is useful on its own. It is also a starting point for formation or support if you want us to continue.

When a US LLC earns its place in your business
A US LLC can suit an independent consultant, agency or other service business working internationally. It provides a US legal entity for contracts and a basis for applying to suitable banking and payment providers. The value lies in what that structure lets your particular business do, after its recurring work and costs are included.
One useful starting case is an owner who is neither a US citizen nor a US tax resident, owns a single-member LLC, has made no corporate tax election and performs the services outside the United States. The location of a US customer or bank account does not, by itself, make that service income US-source. Tax treatment where you live and work still belongs in the decision.
US citizenship or tax residence, additional owners, US work, staff, stock or premises, property income and a corporate tax election lead to different questions. Banking also depends on the owners, activity and truthful address evidence. We deal with those facts before recommending the structure. If a local company or another arrangement serves you better, the plan explains that alternative.
For the underlying rules and worked examples, read the US LLC guide. If you are still comparing countries and legal forms, start with our overseas-company service.
Get a decision you can use, not another generic LLC guide
“Which state is best?” is only useful alongside what you sell, who owns the business, where the work happens and how customers will pay. Your personal expert plan connects those answers. It draws on researched rules and practical operating knowledge to give you a recommendation, viable alternatives, suitable contacts and a sequence you can follow.
The starting point changes the dossier. If you are weighing an LLC against other structures, you need a comparison. If you favour an LLC but are unsure it fits, you need a reasoned suitability decision. If the choice is made, you need a concrete preparation plan. For an existing company, the plan addresses the records, obligations or change you actually face.
You can expect the relevant ownership and tax classification, a justified state choice, a basic bank and payment route, address requirements, expected cost categories and a filing calendar. These connected decisions belong in the company topic. They are not sold back to you as compulsory extras.
Where another professional must settle a specific point, the dossier identifies the question and the documents needed. You can take the result to your own advisers, use it to proceed independently or commission the next task with EXOBASIS.
Resolve a question or work through a decision with an expert
Written expert answers suit a defined issue: an ownership change, competing address requirements or what an existing filing record tells you. Choose a package of 3, 7 or 15 questions. The result is a written answer you can refer to when taking the next step; the questions used to understand your situation are separate from that paid allowance.
A prepared 60-minute expert consultation gives you space to compare options, challenge a recommendation and work through the consequences for your business. Relevant background is gathered beforehand so the conversation starts with your situation. The written expert plan is a separate product, not an automatic inclusion in the call.
Arrange the formation and the steps that make it usable
If the structure is settled, bring the decisions and documents you already have. We agree the missing work rather than making you purchase the same preparation again. You approve the state, owners, management arrangement, appointments and costs before filing.
The assignment can cover formation, the operating agreement, a registered agent, the EIN application and the agreed correspondence arrangements. The EIN identifies the business; formation does not automatically give you a personal SSN or ITIN, US residence or permission to work there. The registered agent receives legal service in the formation state. Ordinary mail handling and the actual operating address need their own arrangements.
For banking and payments, we prepare the relevant records and coordinate the application within the agreed scope. Providers assess ownership, residence, activity, addresses and the evidence of genuine business. They decide whether to accept the application. A company certificate alone does not establish a usable account.
The handover separates what is complete from what remains: registration evidence, the EIN confirmation, the company records, application outcomes and the next deadline. Where payment setup is commissioned, the usable result includes the accepted account, applicable limits and working authorised access.
Already have an LLC? Start with the company you own
You may need a new registered agent, help with an EIN letter, a filing, better records or a move away from a provider who holds all the access. You can commission that task directly. We first establish the company identity and what has already been done.
The useful starting records are the formation documents, operating agreement, EIN confirmation, ownership and tax-election history, filed returns, payment evidence and relevant correspondence. An ownership change or provider transfer does not automatically call for a replacement company or a new EIN. We establish the correct treatment of the actual change.
If an IRS or state notice has a deadline, that deadline comes first. An existing-company plan or ongoing subscription does not automatically include missed filings, historical corrections or a penalty response. We identify the period and work involved so it can be commissioned deliberately.
Know who is handling the next filing
Ongoing support is useful when the calendar and records otherwise depend on your memory. We agree which tasks and periods are covered, who prepares them, what you supply and what confirms completion. That can include registered-agent coordination, correspondence, annual state duties and the connection to bookkeeping or tax preparation.
A service renewal, the LLC tax year and a state filing deadline are different dates. Owner contributions, withdrawals and other related-party dealings may create information-reporting work even when there is no US income tax. Your records need to reach the responsible preparer in time.
Address, owner, manager or activity changes can affect more than the register. Tell us when the facts change so the relevant IRS, state, bank and payment records can be updated within the commissioned work. A move to a new country deserves another look at the operating arrangement, not just a new mailing label.
Keep the records and the freedom to change providers
Your company file should contain the ownership and management documents, submitted forms, acceptance and filing evidence, notices, contacts and a clear record of who holds which access. You retain your records and authorised control; representation is arranged through accepted permissions rather than shared passwords.
If the LLC is no longer useful, closure is a defined assignment. Debts and contracts, final returns and information reports, state dissolution, account closures and retained records have to be coordinated. Cancelling a provider subscription leaves those company tasks unresolved.
If continuity or succession matters, ownership rights and authority to manage must also be connected. Use the representation and succession guide to prepare that part of the business.
Collaboration and what follows
During the assignment
Keep your existing advisers involved
EXOBASIS coordinates the agreed work and keeps the documents and next actions together. Legal, tax and registration specialists carry out their defined professional tasks. Existing advice and usable preparation remain part of the assignment.
After the handover
Continue only with the work you need
Use your plan independently, commission a formation or ask for ongoing administration. If your wider move affects the business, connect the company decision with departure, tax and business obligations. Additional work has its own agreed scope.
